Art is a (product of) human activity, made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind by transmitting emotions and/or ideas. Beyond this description, there is no general agreed-upon definition of art, since defining the boundaries of "art" is subjective.

Art at the X national all-media juried exhibition is on display at the Xavier Art Gallery this month - The fourth annual national all-media juried exhibition, Art at the X, opened at the Xavier University Art Gallery on Friday, Aug. 27, and will continue through Saturday, Sept. 25.Art in the Park - GALESUBRG — On Saturday, Sept. 11 the 24th annual Art in the Park art fair will take place at Standish Park Arboretum in downtown Galesburg from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sponsored by Blick Art Materials and KFM 105.3, Art in the Park is a juried fair of fine arts and selected fine crafts. All media will be displayed and sold by artists.
