Since time immemorial, art has been kept on a higher pedestal! It is always seen as something that gives life to the otherwise mere existence of human beings. This term encapsulates a number of genres such as literature, music, painting, printmaking and sculpture. It means different to different people and defining it in a one single statement is like killing it!  

But whatever be the form, it stimulates the senses, emotions and ideas whenever it comes into confrontation with the human mind. Although it is of no utility for the people who believe in the theory of utilitarianism but again that is a subjective viewpoint.

Most of us cannot deny its presence in our daily lives. There are many who cannot go to sleep without reading a novel or listening to some soothing music. Moreover, certain forms do add to the charm of the surrounding of a place such as, the paintings or the sculptors. They provide you an essence of awe to the place where they are kept. The people who live in the mystic world of art know what it means to life.

Imagine the face of life without art! How rational and boring it would become! It is art only that gives wings to the imagination that helps feel those sensations; one could not feel in the real world. It is art only that creates a virtual world to fulfill the desires of the audience/viewers/readers, which are suppressed in the real world. It is something that gives an artist the freedom to work on his/her will without taking into consideration any type of constraints.
