 Science is an amazing thing which is often taken for granted. It is unbelievable how science affects every little thing in our life. There are different types of science like Earth science (which this article is based on), life science, and physical science. Earth science relates to the scientific processes that occur on our planet. Science on Earth is something that has always existed and always will. It is what makes us live the way we do. This article will give you some examples science that deals with the Earth.

 Geology

 Geology is what can explain the land and rocky parts of the Earth's crust. Geology also explains how the land and the Earth's crust develops over a long period of time. Within geology, there are also other scientific categories like mineralogy and petrology, geochemistry, geomorphology, paleontology, stratigraphy, engineering geology and sedimentology.

 Geodesy and Geophysics

 This type of science discovers how the figure of the Earth becomes what it is. To go more in depth, the previously stated terms defines the study of the reaction that Earth has to forces and the chance of magnetic and gravity fields.

 Soil Science

 Soil is the closest layer to us of the Earth's crust. Soil science is the method of investigating how soil forms. Within this category is also edaphology and pedology.

 Oceanography and Hydrology

  This is the study of ocean and freshwater parts of the world. Within this category is hydrogeology and physical, chemical, and biological oceanography.

 Glaciology

 Glacioglogy is the study of glaciers.



 There are many more categories in Earth science which all comes together to bring the world to what it is and this is just the basics.
