Link building is one of the most important factors of search engine optimization. Through getting links from the related sites a website can rank well in Google. Basically there are following two main types of the search engine optimization.
On-page optimization includes providing the unique Title, description, keywords, using H1 heading, generating sitemap and optimizing the content of each web page.
The off-page optimization mainly includes building the links through different links building techniques. Some of the common links building method includes reciprocal links, three way links, directory submissions, article writing and submissions, social bookmarking, buying one way links and the links through forums postings. Links building is an ongoing process and the more powerful links from the high PR websites ensures that you website will rank well in Google. Google considers different ranking factors in which links building is one of the most important ranking factors. Sometimes Google devalues links if their quality is not good. The devalued links can be links that you get through participating in the links schemes, reciprocal links, automatic links placement through software, spamming and the links from the irrelevant websites. Search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN update or change their algorithms many times in a year. So it is required for the webmasters and SEO experts to keep themselves updated with the new rules and algorithms of the search engines.
