World record refers to a feat on which no one in the world has received a better grade. It can be related to anything. Asafa Powell once held the world record for running the fastest 100 meters race. Similarly, Michael Johnson held the record for the fastest 400 meters.

World records are being recorded in Guinness Book of World Records and Limca Book of world records. These hold a tradition of endeavors from all genres. It can be sports, it can be history, and it can be politics. Guinness keeps track of who has won the highest number of election from the same seat, who has killed the maximum number of ray fish officially, who has sailed till the farthest Atlantic point or covered English Channel quickest?

World records can also get weird. For instance, who has eaten the maximum number of green chilies in one go or who has walked the longest with a two-wheeler tied to his moustache. This reminds. Even longest moustache is within the arc of Guinness.

World records are a thing to be prided upon. It’s not easy to be the best in the business especially when you are competing against the whole world.
